Tire and brake inspection: why it matters before buying

5 min read

What we check on tires and brakes:

Tires: - DOT code (date): should not exceed 5 years - Tread depth: 4 mm or more - Uneven wear (indicates suspension issues) - Sidewall bulges or cracks

Brakes: - Front and rear pad thickness - Rotor condition: scoring, vibration - Brake fluid level and color - Real ABS test on the road

Replacing 4 tires: AED 1,500–4,000. Full brake refresh: AED 1,200–3,000. Pre-purchase inspection protects you from these hidden costs.
